Location: Mainly Wakefield, West Yorkshire with agile working from London and other cities across the North of England.
Working jointly, the Northern Health Science Alliance (NHSA) and Yorkshire and Humber Academic Health Science Network (Yorkshire & Humber AHSN) wish to recruit a Business Development Officer/Analyst to support the development of commercial engagement with the NHS.
Working in partnership, the two organisations have a responsibility to work with and support the development of commercial engagement with the NHS and clinical research environment across the Northern Powerhouse.
This role will suit any individual wishing to explore the intersection of business, life sciences and health, working alongside leading clinical researchers, entrepreneurs, innovative SMEs and with global corporates from the Pharma, Medtech, Diagnostics and Digital Health sector.
This is an exciting, unique and varied role which will involve coordinating industry enquiries, scheduling visits between industry partners and member organisations, writing reports, sourcing funding opportunities and developing and maintaining key relationships on behalf of two, closely aligned, organisations.
You must have great project management skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, great attention to detail and previous experience of CRM system management would be an advantage.
You will work part of your week for the AHSN, based in Wakefield and part for the NHSA where you’ll be expected to work on an agile basis from different locations, including regular travel to London.
